How does Microneedling work

A device with fine needles is passed across the skin, creating thousands of microscopic channels. The skin responds as it would to any minor injury, launching a repair process that lays down fresh collagen and elastin. As this new tissue matures over the following weeks, the skin becomes smoother and firmer, scars soften and pores appear refined. Because the effect is cumulative, a course of sessions produces the best results.

Controlled micro-injury is a powerful signal to the skin to rebuild itself:

  • Wound-healing response — the micro-channels trigger the skin's natural repair cascade
  • Collagen induction — fibroblasts are stimulated to produce new collagen and elastin
  • Skin remodelling — over weeks the new collagen improves texture, firmness and scarring
  • Product absorption — the temporary channels help serums penetrate more effectively

Who performs Microneedling

Frequently asked questions

Most people need a course of three to six sessions, spaced around four weeks apart, with the number depending on your concern and skin.

The skin is usually red for 24 to 48 hours, like mild sunburn, and may flake slightly. Most people return to normal activities the next day.

Numbing cream keeps it comfortable. You may feel light scratching or vibration but it is well tolerated.

Some glow appears within days, but the real improvement in texture and scarring builds gradually over several weeks as new collagen forms.

Yes, microneedling is generally suitable for most skin tones, though your practitioner will take extra care to minimise any pigmentation risk.
