How does Cheek Filler work
Filler is placed over the cheekbone at the right depth to add volume and structure, then shaped by the practitioner for a balanced contour. By restoring support to the mid-face, it lifts the area subtly and can soften folds beneath the cheek. Results are visible immediately and continue to settle over the following week or two.
The cheeks act as a scaffold for the mid-face. Restoring their volume has effects beyond the cheek itself:
- Structural support — rebuilds the foundation that holds the mid-face up
- Volume replacement — refills the fat pads that deflate over the cheekbone with age
- Indirect lift — supporting the cheek can soften folds and jowls lower down
- Contour definition — sculpts a defined, natural cheekbone shape

Patient Journey
What to expect

Consultation
Every treatment begins with a consultation. Your practitioner assesses your cheek volume and facial balance, discusses whether you want more contour or restored fullness, reviews your medical history and agrees the amount and placement before proceeding.

Preparation
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment
- Pause non-essential blood thinners for a few days where safe
- Arrive with clean skin, free of make-up on the cheeks
- Allow two weeks before any major event
- Discuss your goals so the amount can be planned for a natural result

Treatment
After cleansing and applying numbing cream, filler is injected over the cheekbone using a fine needle or cannula, and the practitioner moulds it to shape as they work to keep both sides balanced. You may feel mild pressure. The appointment usually takes around thirty minutes and the difference is visible straight away. You will be given aftercare advice before leaving.
